Clio owners don’t forget the annual 2’s on 2’s meeting

5:30pm 2nd February 2026. See you there
Things we want to shout out loud about the club happenings

5:30pm 2nd February 2026. See you there
Here’s your chance to be a concours winner and take home a prized RCCV trophy at this year’s Renault Round-Up, Sunday Feb 15 at Pier 35, 263 Lorimer St, Port Melbourne – down by the Yarra River side.

It’s open to both RCCV members and non-club members – just come along with your prized Renault, grab an entry form, fill in your details and let the judges do the rest.
It’s free to enter, open to any Renault model, no matter how new or old – and you never know, you might just snag a trophy and best of all – bragging rights for the next 12 months!
Entrant cars are judged in peer groups by either models (ie Alpine) or years ( ie pre-1970, 2010 – 2020 etc.) – for example your 1974 R12 wagon will be competing in the 1970 – 1990 category so it will be up against other R12, R16, R18, and even Fuego and early R19s.
So it depends a lot on the competition – what cars appear on the day! Then there’s the People’s Choice award where spectators get a chance to vote for the car they like the most. It could be yours!
What are cars judged on? Of course appearance is key, originality can be a major factor, the general condition of the vehicle in all aspects down to the tyres, floor covering and hubcaps. Most categories are marked out of 10. Figures are tallied up and then additional points are awarded for the age of the car at the rate of half a point per year.
For instance a car that is 22 years old receives 11 points (ie half the age of the car in points) or if car is 50 years old it would receive an additional 25 points (ie half the age of the car in points) in order to give the older cars a chance to knock off the newer models.
Where its being held: Pier 35, 263 Lorimer St, Port Melbourne.
When: Sunday February 15 2026.
Time: Display entrant cars from 9am. Member and non-club member Renault owners welcome to attend or participate.
Concours Judging: Will be going on during the day with category winners receiving trophies on the day.
Amenities available: Pier 35 is a bar, cafe restaurant and marina and will be open all day for coffee, brunch, lunch and we would urge all members to come on down and enjoy the day – Down By The Riverside!

For those who don’t know, Como Park is in South Yarra, Melbourne

One of our members, Paul Stewart and his son Brad Stewart are doing the Shitbox rally next year.
For those who don’t know what it’s about read on.
The Shitbox rally is a fundraiser for cancer, rules are simple, purchase price of the car must not be any more than $1,500 hence the term shit box. Paul and Brad are using a pair of Peugeot 406 diesels.
It starts in Canberra and finishes in Townsville, a long way on rugged back roads in old cars that were destined for the scrap yard.
100% of the money raised goes to the Cancer Council, none of the entrants or officials get 1 cent, Paul and Brad are financing this on their own so don’t think your donation is funding their drive holiday across the country because it isn’t.
Donations are a little slow coming in and we are asking members go get behind this worthwhile cause, every one of us has been touched by cancer and we must never give up the fight to cure this awful disease. We know people are doing it tough at the moment so we are asking for any help at all, what ever you can spare. Remember no matter how tough you’re doing it’s not as tough as the people fighting the disease.
To get things moving at the General meeting on Tuesday 17th the members decided the club would donate $1000 but we need more.
Log on to Paul’s Pepe Le Pew Jo site to donate and you can look it up at autumn2025.shitboxrally.com.au/pepe-le-pew-jo
