Caffeine Run – Sun 18th Nov

A coffee morning on Sunday November 18th. This month it’s at Warrandyte Bakery – 193 Yarra St, Warrandyte – from 9am onwards The next Caffeine Run will be in January

General Meeting – November 2018

The general meeting in November will be a ‘show and tell’ at the club rooms at Dorothy Laver Pavilion.

A BBQ sausage sizzle will be provided before the meeting – come early.

Caffeine Run – Sun 7th Oct

There will be an coffee morning on Sunday 7th October. To cater for those in the Northern and Western suburbs, we will be meeting at the Olive Tree Hotel in Sunbury (111 Evans St,) from 9.00 am.  

General Meeting – October 2018

There has been a change of venue for the October General Meeting. It will be held at Waverley Renault in Springvale Rd Mulgrave (opposite Brandon Park Shopping Centre); arrive from 6:30pm for a prompt start at 7.00pm.

French Car Festival 2018 Update

As previously advised (see earlier post), this years French Car Festival will be held at Markham Reserve, 8o Victory Bvd, Ashburton on Sunday October 28 from 10.00 am. Entry Fee is $10.00 per car. We will having a drive to the event from the Carousel Café (22 Aughtie Dve) Albert Park leaving at 9.30 am.  If you wish to have coffee first, arrive early.    

Morning Coffee – Black Rock 12 August 2018

Another coffee morning has been scheduled for this Sunday at Flavours Patisserie, 31 Bluff Rd Black Rock at 9.30 am. All welcome.

FRENCH CAR FESTIVAL 2018

The French Car Festival this year is being organised by the Citroen Car Clubs and will be held on October 28 at Markham Reserve, Victory Boulevard, Ashburton (enter opposite number81). Further details will be posted as they become available.  

Alpine Gathering April 21 & 22 Harrietville

Last weekend (April 21 & 22) there was a gathering in the Bright area of Alpine vehicles from across Australia. There were a total of 16 Alpines comprising of eight A110’s, three A310’s, one A610 and four GTA’s. In addition there was a V6 Clio and our photographer in a Megane RS265. The photographer had to leave his A310 at home due to a slight split in a wheel rim…

Drive Day April 22 – Farmers Arms Hotel, Beeac.

Our drive day this month is to Beeac.  The owner of the hotel has a car collection which we hope to view on the day.  We have done this one before and it was worth re-visiting. We will leave from The Avenue, Spotswood (just off Westgate Freeway) and travel to the Service Centre (outbound from Melbourne) for coffee.  Some may choose to join us there rather than drive to Spotswood.…

Drive Day October 21st 2017

Saturday Evening Run & Drive-in Movie The October drive day is a Saturday night ‘contest’ run starting with a BBQ dinner at Jells Park, Wheelers Hill and finishing with a movie at the Coburg Drive-in. There will be two competitions / games on the drive, which will take 2 – 2-1/2 hours (1-3/4hr actual drive time). One is a ‘regularity’ style timed driving between three check-points – contestants will score points according to how far from a target time (more or less) each contestant arrives at the  check-point. Lowest final points wins.  P-plate drivers get a discount of 1/3 off their time difference and Learner drivers get a discount of 1/2 off to level up the playing field.  It takes about 35 – 40 mins between check-points.
